So shiny pokemon evolve into shiny pokemon... how about if you breed a shiny pokemon, will you get a shiny baby?

Oh, and in 2nd gen shininess was determined by stats, so there was a much higher chance of getting a shiny baby from a shiny parent, but only if the baby is the opposite gender of the parent... weird, huh?

@TheUltimatephoenix71 Actually, in 3rd gen eggs have the same chance of being shiny as wild pokemon (1 in about 8000), regardless of if the parents are shiny or not.

For 4th gen, a shiny parent makes the odds of a shiny baby 1 in 2000.

In 5th gen games, it's 1 in 1300.

So it is a lot more likely but you would still REALLY have to persevere lol....

@TheUltimatephoenix71 no. You need to get at LEAST 23 Eggs from it, them a shiny will be born.
