SHIT! scratch that last comment! i didnt know they had a new album and the vocals on that album are exactly what i was talking about. and finally they have an album with decent vocal production. Anyone who hasnt heard Oblivion Beckons, do yourself a favor and check it out. Its seriously amazing. And now the band is pretty much "perfect"

dammit, they are such bad ass musicians, riff writers and song writers. the vocals just kill it for me though like 80% of the time. I totally notice that in their defense, they do have terrible vocal production on all their albums. Especially layered parts where both him and the bassist sing together. Levels are way off, tones are dry and bare, etc.... Id die to hear them with some better selected vocal melody and NO cookie monster singing

i love byzantine, serpents is one of my favorite albums ever, but this song is just not them, it would be a great song for a more straight forward band, but its not technical or progressive enough for them
