Nursing - Edinboro University

Edinboro graduated its first class of two nursing students in 1974 after completing a rigorous four-year undergraduate program. Since that time, over 1500 students have graduated from the baccalaureate nursing program at Edinboro. These have included traditional pre-licensure graduates as well as Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who came to Edinboro Nursing to complete their baccalaureate degree. Edinboro Nursing graduates have provided nursing care in healthcare venues across the United States and around the world.

Edinboro Nursing was granted full approval from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing in 1985. Accreditation from the National League for Nursing was in place from 1986 until 2001. In 2001, Edinboro Nursing was granted its initial accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In 2006, Edinboro Nursing was fully accredited by CCNE until 2016.
