QUESTION: Can pupils from what is technically an inner London comprehensive high school perform a challenging piece of 20th century standard orchestral repertoire in a 'straight' arrangement? ANSWER: damn right! This was filmed and edited (by Kyriacos Papasavva) at the Preston Manor Music Academy's Christmas Concert 2009 which raised £250 for the Coptic City Mission. The orchestra is conducted and arranged by Keir C. Crawley. Featured soloists: Michael Williams & Rianne Palmer - Flute, Chris Williams - Soprano Saxophone, Reshum Khan - Alto Saxophone and Warren Alexander - Electric Guitar.

  • not to lessen the accomplishment, but it seems like a poor arrangement - why start so loud? The long crescendo is the interesting part of this repetitive piece..
