sailing in the bay des chaleurs in canada in the end of september in 20 to 25 knots winds! a real sail for experimented sailor! notice we have no women abord since we did not want to hear thing like turn around this is crazy or screaming because the boat was at a good 45 to 50 degree on its side, the end of the boom even touched the water at some point! very nice sail in a san juan 23 top speed of the day was 8.3 knots! i love sailing! we burnt a total of about a buck fifty of gas for two hour of fun! who ever said you needed a motor to have fun on a boat was wrong cause this kind of sailing will get your adrenaline pumping! especially when the coast gard is calling a gail warning on the vhf every 30 min! a very good sail with some awsome sailor! we had 5 excellent captain on board! we had the main reefed once and the jib for an average speed of 5.6 knots!
