Accelerating progress on the Millennium Development Goals

Following the 2010 MDG Summit, the United Nations developed a framework to assist governments to focus on addressing disparities and inequalities -- two of the major causes of uneven progress -- by specifically responding to the needs of the vulnerable. The framework provides a systematic way for countries to develop their own action plan based on existing processes to pursue their development priorities.
