Jerusalem should be independent like Vatican; Holy cities should in general be like the Vatican; in my opinion that solves a lot of problems;

but Cenk's idea is a solution too; I actually came to the conclusion, separately form Cenk, that Jerusalem is not holy at all; it's cursed!

Jerusalem should be an independent city state that is an UN protectorate with peacekeepers policing the land - give that 10 years and see what happens to ME tensions

Before the Six day war, Syria air raided Israel, and Jordan shelled West Jerusalem, and both joined the military coalition started by Egypt, who's actions I underlined below.

I can agree with '67 borders, except for Western wall in East Jerusalum, it is Judaism's holiest site, and it MUST be Israeli. And as for the Six-Day War, it was not a preemptive strike. Israel hit first, but Egypt closed the straits of Tarain, which means no oil. This was recognised by the internation community as an act of war. The Egyption president moved 100,000 troops into the Sinai, and said "our basic objective (in this campaign) is the destruction of Israel.

The palestinians were attacking Israel long before the occupation. The PLO started in 1962, and as far as the settlements are concerned, after the Israelis uprooted the settlements in Gaza, Hamas started firing off rockets at Israel, 6000 in total since they took the settlements out.
