@manofnofixedinstrume Gibson/Epiphone did that their older guitars also..I think its only on older Epiphones/Gibsons also

Whoa man. That is a bold and equally ignorant statement to make. This guy is posting a piece of art he has worked on. I would love to see what you do on your spare time. Probably something no where near the level of talent it took to transcribe this song. This also coming from a guy named pyroguitarman4 ever. Are you fucking kidding me? What a fucking clown.

@manofnofixedinstrume That's because on Gibson Mandolins it says "The Gibosn!" or at least older Mandos it says that. It's a little odd but It's also pretty cool.

@manofnofixedinstrume they do that on gibsons do, labeling it "the gibson". i have no idea why either though

@manofnofixedinstrume well apparently epihone came out with a series once called the epiphone and the gibson and yes id did spot thaat!
This is quite a gutsy move to play such a moving song on mandolin! Well done!

@guitarplayindude1241. I'm not sure if its the 30mm version, but yes an Epiphone. Ever notice that Epiphone guitars and such are just labelled as "Epiphone", whereas, any Epiphone mandolin is labelled as "THE Epiphone"! (I'm not sure why though)

When you go at something like this is your analysis strictly by ear, or do you figure out chord/note combinations from music theory? Your tune was great, sounded all there.

When I sat down to play this on mandolin I had already memorized the chords from the guitar arrangement (i.e. Am-C-D7-F, etc), but had to find the melody on the mandolin, while simultaneously playing the most appropriate chord inversion to accompany the melody. (And this I did mostly by ear.)
