CRAZY Falcon Lake Bass Fishing Monster 9 Pounder

Kayaking Falcon Lake, Texas I caught this 9 pound 13 ounce bass out of my Native Watercraft Manta Ray 12. Total length was 25.50" I was using a 7' 1" Daiwa Steez SVF rod and Steez 103ha reel along with 50lb Sunline FX2 braid. The bait of choice was a Dirty Jigs Alabama Bream 1/2 oz. Tour Grade Flipping Jig with a watermelon red Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver. This fish was the first of two 9 pounders I caught that day. We had a blast and the weather was great that day!

No video of this one. I just got my first kayak, a Heritage Redfish 14, and I haven't gotten the camera holder set up yet. I had no idea I would catch such a good fish on my first trip out in the kayak.

@olebiker Congrats on the new yak. I'll be waiting on some videos; I'm sure you'll catch some more big fish soon. Kayaking seems to help you slow down and fish areas more thoroughly. After this weather clears out, I'll be out hunting some toads too!
