You can all say how awful is this interpretation, you have the right to, but you can't compare the rendition of Kreisler with this of Kogan, when Kreisler plays his own pieces it's clearly different...Kogan was not Kreisler !
the interesting part here is not only the soloist's paying but the orchestral arrangement. It seems clear that the soloist is hoping to balance the traditional text with with the imaginative orchestral and compositional touches
@ChieriReicheru2 I also think this is not a good interpretation. Kogan was an excellent violinist, no doubts. But hear "Kreisler plays Kreisler - Schön Rosmarin", and you'll understand the difference (you'll understand what we mean, not that you'll agree with us). Sorry for my English
