The Swedish heavy metal band Manimal performing "The Life We Lived" from their debut album "The Darkest Room", released on AFM Records in June 2009. Filmed at Trädgårn in Gothenburg, Sweden using a Panasonic Lumix TZ7 (or ZS3 as it's called in the US for some weird reason).

Since the original sound was a bit muddy I opened the videostream in Premiere Pro CS4 and applied some EQ and dynamics to the soundtrack. I really didn't want to recompress the video so I chose to export the audio track alone as MP4 audio in AC3 48kHz 192kbps (basically the same format as the camera records in) using the Adobe Media Encoder.
Then I used an excellent little application called tsMuxeR that lets you (among other things) replace the original soundtrack in an AVCHD-file without having to recompress the video parts, hence avoiding a huge quality loss. Takes around 20 seconds to swap the audio track with a freshly mastered one and then the file is ready to be uploaded to Youtube, AND you can also trim the video, lossless. Superb.

Note: The Lumix TZ7 has some problems with finding the focus when the lights are changing constantly. If you're considering buying this camera please note that a rock concert is among the worst conditions one can imagine for a camera, it's not THAT bad really...
