I'd say the GOP gets it. Obama goes around the world apologizing to everyone for everything. He bows to kings and dictators. He clearly stated that he does not believe in American exceptionalism. The People of the United States need and deserve better than this.

"And it's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations,"

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: ; 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'
From Obama’s Dreams of My Father:
I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, Dubois and Mandela.'

If you think I'm a neo-liberal then like I said before people like yourself don't understand the real political spectrum or what actually happened to the American political landscape over the last 40 years. If you're listening to people like Hannity, John Bolton, William Crystal, Sarah Palin, then it is little wonder that you would be confused.

@kmg501 It's not that WE don't understand you liberal.. it's that YOU don't understand what you are saying! U can't use copy-n-paste rhetoric and expect that everyone will be fooled.
I love this country and feel we are indeed the best in the world and that is why we are exceptional! Obviously we should help the world when we can but you have to help your family first, the your neighbors and so on in other words do not make a ghetto out of your own home and the expect the ghetto hundreds of miles away to get improved. Stay strong and spare what you can for the needy!

The real problem is not one of semantics over 'American exceptionalism' but governing from a worldview. What is Obama's worldview? What shaped his perceptions of 'fairness' he always talks about? Who were the major influences in his life? Get the full story under this embedded video at our site.
