as a boy i felt that this was one of the greatest scenes in videogame history. i think the confrontation with thrakath is better without music. i would always go full salvo on my missles and fire 8 at thrakath, destroy him, and then land in time. he still appears orbiting kilrah on mission 36 even if you do this, however.

LOL first couple of times I thought so too. I think he gets it very close to his face to 'admire' the blood but doesn't lick it. No ketchup around his mouth!

Yeah, I guess you got a point, its just...weird for me to wrap my head around.

And is it just me, or at 1:38, he looks like he's going to lick his claws.

Yeah, it is individual attention. I guess for the Kilrathi it is, unlike the others who were disintegrated, no need for individual attention.
