This is excellent. I wouldn't have even thought this was from an amateur production. The actress here brilliantly conveys the sexiness, independence, and determination of her character. Very well done.

Hi Jennifer...It's Joe, in Michigan.....Well, "Gypsy", was a great show and we received excellent reviews....I played two character roles, so didn't get to sing till we the entire cast sang, "Let me entertain you" , at the end of the show...now, I will be traveling for the Summer and in the fall, we will tackle,"Music Man"...,How, have things been going for you?

@jarcel1670 Hery Joe :) Good to hear it went well. I'm not a big Music Man fan myself, but hey, we can't love 'em all, ha! Right now the comedy I was ADing is running, and I'm in rehearsals for Passing Strange. After that I'll be jumping into brush up rehearsals for a new musical called Soul on Fire. We'll be performing in at the National Black Theatre Festival in NC this August. That's all I've got lined up for now.

"Company", happens to be my favorite musical...I have performed it three times...and even today, the songs rattle around in my brain...whenever, I get stressed, I just start singing, "Being Alive"....Are you currently doing any theatre...I'm in rehearsals for "Gypsy", which we will be performing in March...also enjoy dinner theatre, and do a little writing....performing has always given me "true" pleasure...let me know what you have done, and anything your currently doing........Thanks, Joe

@jarcel1670 Right now I'm on a break for a few weeks until I jump into assistant directing a comedy called Money Matters. After that I'm not 100% sure... I have an audition tomorrow for Wedding Singer, & I auditioned last weekend for Passing Strange (won't know about that one for about another week). But yes, I've done several shows. Many of them are on my account. I LOVE Company as well... I'd love to do it if a theatre would put it on their season!

Jennifer, did you happen to post, the number..."You Can Drive A Person, Crazy"...would love to see it, if you have....tell me more about your production...what theater, where located...etc?

@jarcel1670 I know! Strangely enough my director wanted me to be scared & intimidated by my surroundings. She said she wanted me to feel unable to connect & alone. I had the hardest time relating to that considering that's not where Marta was coming from. I ended up playing the intimidation down a bit because it felt so awkward. I thought the imaging was cool with the silhouettes, but I didn't agree with the direction she gave me. But hey, my job was to try & communicate what she wanted.

Jennifer, has a fantastic voice...but, I believe who ever gave her direction, on the character Marta, failed to instill, what New York really meant to her...it was her "dream" world....would of liked to hear more intensity in her presentation.....but, all in all...well done.
