Ramble which contains major manga spoilers: Please don't read this unless you either adored the video to pieces or you are really really bored. O.o;;

On the concept of this video... Well... this song fits Haruhi very well, (hence searching ""everything you want" ouran" gets about 26 results... if any of them are any good, like my dear Steph's, someone tell me) so I was happy to have a song that brought out her character. (She gets a lot of character abuse....) You know, like she's unable to recognize her feelings for what they are. She's almost asexual... ^-^;;;; Maybe "prepubescent" is a better word... ^-^;; Anyway, Tamaki is of course clearly not asexual or prepubescent, yet when it comes to his feelings is way more dense than Haruhi ever was, which I chose to completely ignore as I made this video. O.o;; I guess this is what would happen if Tamaki happened to be less dense than Haruhi. o.o;; And thankfully, that'll never happen. However, he fits the bill in this song as far as being Mr. Ideal.
I'm sad though that this view of Haruhi's character is hardly sympathetic... But anyway, I debated between using Hikaru or Kaoru as my narrator, and I ended up with Hikaru, because Hikaru has gotten angry with Haruhi on issues similar to the ones in the song, though Hikaru's issue is actually being unable to recognize and convey his feelings, (another dense one) rather than an issue of a frustrating unrequited love. I considered Kaoru because Hikaru can't deal with his own feelings, much less analyze other people's to the point of being able to say this song with much credulity. Kaoru on the other hand, spends much of his alone-screen-time speculating at other people's feelings. But I thought I would use more yelling scenes than I did, and Kaoru only yells once in the whole anime, as opposed to Hikaru, who yells three times just in episode 16. But ultimately I'm glad I chose Hikaru...
Anyway, this song reminds me of Hikaru and Haruhi's relationship like where the song goes: "You never could get it/Unless you were fed it" like in the manga where Hikaru asks Haruhi out and it goes like this:
Hi: "I love you, will you go out with me?"
Ha: "That is... Does that mean..."
Hi: "HANG ON!! You're not allowed to get confused here! And it doesn't mean 'Accompany me to go somewhere!' Right now is the very shoujo manga type!"
Lol. Good old Hikaru. When was the last time anybody had to clarify their confession by referring to shoujo manga? ^-^;;;
In any case, I tried to set up the video so that when Hikaru got to say "I'm everything you want" the audience would believe it, but I think I failed... Maybe he's not so much saying that he is as ideal as Tamaki, rather that he aspires to be that ideal. (Which matches Tamaki and Hikaru's recent manga relationship.)
Unfortunately for everyone with Haruhi in the anime, her feelings for other people end at friendship, (or earlier, if you're Tamaki XD ep 16: "These are my friends, Hikaru and Kaoru, and this is...someone I know." Tamaki: "BAGOCK!!" *lightning strikes*) so this is what the poor members of her harem have to put up with. Ah well. Good thing Ouran is a comedy and not a soap opera. ^-^;;
Should I delete this rant? O.o;;
