I've been using the Young Living essential oils, and I love what they do for me. Believe it or not, I'm almost 50 years old. Today I'd like to tell you about Lavender essential oil. This is therapeutic grade pure lavender oil, so it's not made using chemicals, which can be harmful. It's not extended, it's not adulterated, and there's nothing synthetic about it. The way I use Young Living Lavender essential oil is for calming. It's really good for me after a busy day to calm for sleep. I put it on the bottoms of my feet for calming for sleeping. I can smooth some on the pillow and put some under my nose and on the back of my neck. It can be added to your bath water. Since the essential oils are therapeutic grade, you can put lavender essential oil in a capsule and take it an hour before bed. What's good about the lavender oil and all the Young Living essential oils is that they work with your body. The lavender oil will energize me if I'm tired and relax me if I'm wound up. Lavender essential oil is called the Swiss army knife of essential oils because you can use it for so many things. It's famous for what it can do for burns. If you have a burn, you can apply it and it will help relieve the pain and help it to heal. The same goes for a cut. It will help stop the bleeding, disinfect it, help it to heal, and actually minimize the scarring. Lavender oil is good for pretty much all skin conditions. It can be used for acne and rashes and eczema, irritated skin, itching skin, and so forth, including on a sunburn. You could put several drops in a glass spray bottle with water and shake it up and spray it on. Another way to dilute it in order to apply it to a larger area would be to use the Young Living V-6 vegetable oil complex. You can use lavender essential oil for cold sores, to help with the pain and healing. You can also apply it to insect bites to alleviate the itching and the swelling. People who have hay fever can apply some on the palms of the hands and inhale from their palms. The essential oil diffuser can be used to help with allergies The diffuser does not heat the oils. It's important not to heat oil because it will lose some of its therapeutic value, and it may create harmful compounds. Another thing that you can use lavender oil for is headaches. You could inhale it and apply it on your temples, your forehead, over your sinuses, and on the back of the neck. You could apply it to your abdomen for nausea. It can be used for motion sickness by putting some on your tongue, in your navel, and behind your ears. For a nosebleed, you can take a little piece of tissue and put a few drops of lavender oil on the tissue and wrap it around a small chip of ice and put it underneath your upper lip. It can be applied to the bridge of the nose to help with a blocked tear duct. You can use lavender oil to help during labor and childbirth. And lavender oil can be used as a deodorant. To freshen your laundry, you can put a few drops of lavender oil on a wet washcloth and throw it in the dryer. You can scent your linens by putting a few drops on a cotton ball in with your linens, and that would also help to repel insects. Those are the ways you can use your Young Living lavender essential oil. I'm Kenneth Gardner, and for more information, go to KennethGardner.com.
