I live in Australia, and i dont think i have ever gone to anyones house and they have served me kangaroo. If they even tried to i would easily decline. I do see it at supermarket stores and i cringe everytime. Australian people are really so stupid. Why can't they see this is sick and wrong I am ashamed to live in Australia thank god i can say im not Australian. honestly, beating a baby joey on a car? How could this be the national icon for this country when aussies eat them? Sigh. Emchesemche

The sad thing is that farmers in NSW are now co-operating with kangaroo shooters who can now come on their property and shoot kangaroos. The shooters party is trying to get a bill through next week to shoot kangaroos and other native animals in NATIONAL PARKS!!!

Same here. Very sad. The Kangaroo is Australia's national symbol, yet this happens? I'm just glad it isn't Australia wide.

You talk as though it is common to eat in Australia. It isn't. The main meat that is eaten is fish, chicken and beef.

Very rare you'll find someone eating Kangaroo in Australia and if you do, you'll usually find that they have no idea of bad the industry is and just think that it somehow comes from some 'farmed' Kangaroo somehow, and so everything is ok. That or they just have no care for wildlife.
