"Studio Sounds" with Kodak's Zi8 using Roland's Td-9s

I was Fooling around with my Zi8 when i bought it and realized, not only can you use an external mic on this affordable HD Camcorder but, you can plug your electronic drums direct into it giving you a great studio sound. For all you drummers out there that want great HD video with studio sound this is a great purchase under $180.

I only hear audio from the left speaker when playing this video.... dont know if it was recorded like that, but mono sound is not cool, sound does sound decent though, but stereo is the way to go.

Eventually you will blow the mic input compression/limiter - better to pad down the mic input source by 50dB - use of a D.I. box (line to mic) would be better still - one with 20dB & 40dB pad switches - happy drumming and strumming - Cheers.

I use a Zoom H2 and run a cable from the line out to the mic in of the Zi8
