  • I am still undecided.

Caplio r6 or Panasonic Lumix TZ3 (or TZ2).

I don´t care for macro, it´s mostly for family shooting and some nice panoramas.

    Any suggestion is welcome.

  • I also thought about TZ3, the function is very good, but I mainly take photo during outdoor activity, hence portable size is definitely important to me, so I bought Panasonic Fx-30 2 days ago.

But TZ3 is really a good camera, I was tempted to buy it.

  • I like it.

  • I am thinking to buy R6 or Casio V7...

For the appearance, I like R6. But for function, V7 is much more superior.

  • What about image quality, oyzstn17?

  • seems that the image quality is not good, I am disappointed by its noise control after viewing sample photo. Even photo taken in day time, the photo is still noisy.

  • I'm about to decide. I think I'll choose the Casio V7 because of its fabulous video function and cheaper price, and also better handling (I think). I like the R6 because of its slightly better picture quality (mostly detail reproduction and ISO), though! Well, after all, the V7 is still a bit smaller in depth, so I'll go for it! Cheers from Julian (who is NOT a professional photographer)...

  • WHICH CAMERA WAS DECIDED UPON - R6 or TZ3 I am looking at buying a new camera- small in size, but big on simple uses. I do like Macro, that is why I am looking at the R6 for the focal distance. or the Samsung 1050. Any comments would be welcome.

  • I agree... I came to the same conclusion actually. It's too bad. It would have been almost perfect otherwise. Great zoom, small size... Only lacking an optical viewfinder.

  • I got the tz2 instead of the tz3 because of the 50 euro difference, the screen is "smaller" 2,5`` (anyway a great size) but because of that it´s easier to grab and the battery life is longer, I don´t care for exposure bracketing, 6 Mpixel it´s even too much for me, I don´t care for the extra MP. The only thing I am lacking is the 2 photos comparing mode during playback, I didn´t know it was excluded from the TZ2.

  • just got the TZ2,

it seems the perfect one for me. And for my large pockets looks ok, maybe a little bulky but not a big problem.

Even high ISO performance doesn´t look so bad as I read. Outstanding outdoor performance, wow THE ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM it´s great. and for somebody whonever tried 28mm is even better.
