I finally finished putting my computer together. Now to set up my environment and load my games...

At rest my comp pulls about 90 watts... when i played the most intense game I had it averaged 150 and sometimes would jump up to 160 W. This is w/o overclocking, and I have no reason to since it performs everything extremely well. Also I am using windows 7 as my OS and that might be a contributing factor to the power consumption supposedly, Win7 is supposed to be the greenest OS out of win products.

  • heat problems? cause im looking for this case for a gaming pc...

  • @sharkpyro93 The case is well designed, my particular mobo has a issue with the FSB not getting enough heat dissipation during high intensive tasks so I have had to make a mod of a fan directly blowing out from it.

I have seen people do water cooling mods for fairly cheap with this case though...

  • @pietjanhenk probably, I've read many people with a cpu cooler having success, I just leave my case open and have an extra fan pull air accoss it.

  • @blakmatrix should that problem with FSB be fixed if you add Scythe Kozuti as CPU cooler?

  • @qwwqqe the 450w silverstone psu is very very solid. currently im running an intel 2500k, an msi 6950 2gb, 8gb of ram, a 1tb hdd, and a slim optical drive. even after some overclocking, i have never experienced any problems with the power supply.

  • nice keyboard

  • @qwwqqe Its doing well however the FSB heatsink runs Hot when playing some games so I so far have to run and extra fan across it.

  • i've read alot of horror stories about that 450w psu making a chirping and squealing sound when power consumption is drawing more than 300W. how is your set up holding up as of now? im also planning on build a rig in this sg06 case to play bf3 with i5 2400S, hd6870, 4gb ddr3, and a slimline dvd.
