I don't have the Towa gauge. I adjust my bobbin tension by feel. I lay the filled bobbin case in the palm of my hand (opening facing up so I can see the bobbin), then gently pull the thread...it should only hesitate a tiny bit and then pull smoothly from the bobbin case. If your case lifts off your palm at all, loosen the bobbin screw about 1/8 of a turn & try again.

about 14.00 if you uses the epoxy stuff from tv ad (it's 10.00 for several tubes). Epoxy from hardware store works and is about 5.00 for one tube.

I bought the epoxy (same as on tv) at local Walmart for 10.00...the fishing pole guides were 3.50 for 6. Very reasonable & works great.

I purchased the epoxy at Walmart (it's the same thing as the tv promotion stuff), and the eyes for the fishing poles were also at Walmart. I have an old machine (over 20 years)..and it's not automated in any way... these videos have allowed me to fix a thread breakage problem for under $10.00!
Love all Sharon's videos.

I would love for you to do a short video on how to gauge and adjust the bobbin tension on a long arm...I find that part to be the most discouraging....
Thanks!!
Thanks very much. Do you have a price list of these products? Would it be posted on a website? Do you ship to New York state? How long would a parcel take to arrive in upstate New York?

I do not have the prices for the parts. If you give Jason a call in the morning he can quote you accurately. And they will ship to anywhere in the US and Canada.

I really liked your demonstration of the spring removal and replacing it with a bobbin Genie. I notice the bobbin genies are sold in packages of 10. Do they wear out? Do they need to be replaced regularly? If so, how often?

You can generally get about 40 hours of use out of each disc. You will know when to replace it when the edges begin to fray.
