Here is an updated video of my goldfish tank. The tank was set up on 20th of July, 2009. 3 months later, my plants have reached a good amount of growth. I use no CO2, the substrate is coarse white playsand. In the back of the tank I buried plastic shoe boxes full of regular soil to provide a more nutritious substrate for my swords. My lighting is a 4' T8 shop light purchased from Walmart for $10, with a single 6500K Daylight bulb.

  • Can you show me where to buy the dragon decor in your tank? It looks really nice. Thanks

  • @MrWoodendummy I am afraid I am not sure what you are referring to. The only decor in my tank are live plants and driftwood that I collected and cleaned myself. There isn't anything that was purchased from a store, and there isn't anything that is a "dragon."

  • With your experience with goldfish, how many fancies (black moors or orandas) would you house in a 60 gallon aquarium?

  • @MyFishCare101 I tend to stock a bit on the heavy side, but I am religious with my water changes and have superb filtration. In a 60, provided that you do a weekly partial change and have 10X filtration, you could do 5-6 moors and 3-4 orandas. Moors tend to only get about half the size of an oranda, which can get positively HUGE (I really need to get the new videos up so that you all can see my giants now!)

  • doesnt look like a 100 gallon but still realy beautiful

  • @AwesomeAssassin1000 The tank dimensions are 48" X 24" X 21". That is actually 104.73 US gallons.
