This is an experiment using one of my works called "A Celt on the Great Wall". This piece combines Chinese folk music with Irish folk music. I was testing to see if I could play two separate parts at the same time using a "picture in picture" function in iMovie. It works! . . . now I just have to tune my piano and make sure the flute stays in tune :)

  • have you published this? I would love to play this:)

  • @singingflutelady No, I haven't published this but if you are interested in performing it I would be happy to discuss this with you. It is a two movement work based on both Irish and Chinese folk songs. Please feel free to email me at tranadams@rogers.com. Thanks for your compliment :)

  • wow!! amazing, kesh jig! love how you incorporated that, you have a real flair for arrangement, lovely accompaniment too, it really started to get grand towards the end, how many instruments do you play by the way?

  • @chansherly212 Thanks!!! I play a few instruments like you do ;) Piano, flute and harp are my main ones . . . but I play a few others. I do some work as a composer so this is meant to be more of a "classical" piece. It has two movements which I would love to record.

  • Where did you do the Flute part?

  • @OpticalIllusion1992 my living room :)

  • @WiccanAlex Thanks so much! That inspires me to get the whole piece on YouTube and do it properly. Always great to hear from you Alex :)

  • I totally LOVE this...just amazing. Its so inspiring to hear the eastern and western elements together. I also love how you played both instruments and have them together. The music is lovely...thank you so much for sharing it with us.

    Blessings,
