Just discovered you and watched both this and your November 2008 post about how confusing the whole process can and will be. The one thing that worries me also is my income. Did visajourney really make everything easier? How did you overcome the 'income' situation? Congratulations by the way on your 'overseas love'.

@bowiechick The current petition payment is $340, which covers everybody you plan to bring over (fiance and her kids) The medical exam is $180-$220/each. The visa fee is $350/each. The adjustment of status is $750-$1200/each. The plane ticket is $500-$1100/each. Add the cost of your trip $3000-$10,000. You still interested?

its been 4 months since we applied for fiance visa. still the status shows "initial review". can u let me know how much time do the USCIS take to process it further. how much time we need to wait more?

@ThePatelTony We HAD to have my parents sponsor. Without that, we would have been denied. It's sad but I don't know of any way around it. Someone needs money, unfortunately. It's all the US cares about. :(

hey my fiancee is in ohio and were going to apply for the k-1 fiance visa pretty soon because shes expecting our baby. will i be able to visit her while its being processed in order to go to doctors appointments see the birth ect or do i have to stay in ireand till its approved?????

@humpdidyvoop You can visit as much as you can afford! Just make sure you don't overstay your welcome. Is it 90 days on the regular visitors visa or something? I can't remember. Make sure you keep evidence of all these visits like with plane tickets and photos, they are good for when you have to prove an ongoing relationship.

Not to mention costs of little things like passport photos, sending the petition to USCIS, photo copies, etc. It all adds up.
