Turkey threatens war

The unstable situation in the Middle East is soon going to become much more unstable. The Turkish authorities tend to start an extensive military operation in the Iraqi-Turkish border. At the same time they do not bar the fact that they can intrude into the northern regions of Iraq. Official Ankara states that it is going to be a frontier military campaign, which aims to destroy the bases of the Kurd rebels. However, according to the observers' evaluation the consequences of the military operations can not be foreseen. The Prime Minister of Turkey gave the following response to the concerns of the international association:

'We have taken everything into consideration and we are ready to pay for that. We have taken into consideration both negative and positive sides of the operation. When you are planning such operation you need to compute everything'.

According to the Turkish media the Headquarter of the Armed Forces has already worked out four versions of the so called anti-terrorist operation in the North Iraq where each operation includes air force and armored equipments. Turkish soldiers think that the massive bombings will terrify the Kurd rebels. As a matter of fact, the Turkish army plans to break into a territory of an independent state. After 2003 Kurds have established their police force, army in the North Iraq and live their according to their own laws. According to the experts the local military unions have a serious power. Besides that, the bases of the fighters of the Labour Party of Kurdistan are also situated in there. There is no doubt that Kurds are going to make a fierce resistance.

Taking into consideration Kurds' disposition we can say that Turks are going to face hard and bloody battles. A shameful defeat must not be excluded. We must not ignore the Kurd that live in Syria and Iran who will support their fellow countrymen that live in Iraqi Kurdistan. In that case, according to experts, the frontier operation will become an extensive antagonism, which will first of all harm Iraq.
