MAN MK1 259 Ex MMTB, MET BUS

The prototype Bus for the new Mk2 MAN Buses in Melbourne. The only Mk1 MAN Bus with a Voith transmission and dual step / glass front doors. Ex MET Government Bus now sporting the National Bus / Ventura livery. Just about in it's last days of service.

That was the last time I had a ride in my favourite Mk1. One of these days I hope to see your wonderful collection and maybe even get to have a steer if I'm lucky.

It will be great to see her and her sisters eventually restored back to there former glory.

It will be good when the bus will be repainted back in green and yellow the old Met livery.

Nice vid. Its rare you see these old buses in the National livery (red and yellow). I think i once saw some of these buses in storage at a tram depot near Brunswick i think it was. I was on Route 96 tram at the time last year. I could easily tell the livery belonged to National bus lines.
