The new $52 million Peak 2 Peak Gondola opened Dec. 12, 2008, bridging the gap between Whistler and Blackcomb. The 4.4 kilometre route's highest point is 436 metres over Fitzsimmons Creek -- that's higher than Toronto's CN Tower. On a clear day, all surrounding peaks -- some of them volcanic -- are in view. It will change the skiing and snowboarding experience at North America's top resort.

436 metres isn't higher than the CN Tower you retard. The CN Tower is 553 metres.

I went on this many times this year, and it also questioned me if it breaks down, and they lose total power inside of it, what would there evacuation plan be.

I'd rather keep skiing for 11 mins than ride sideways on a pow day. But I encourage you to ride the gondola while I ski the pow.

He said that it's taller than the CN tower. CN is 553m, peak 2 peak is 436m.
