  • I love the way the old guy, the MC, runs off the stage before the song!

  • Geez, tough crowd.

  • @BigJH37 You can also see Chuck's attempt at comedy in the way he speaks at the beginning. He's completely blown away by the royal treatment he is receiving on this tour. The notion of being able to quietly speak to an audience and describe the music in advance as if it were a classical composition is just a riot and completely new to him.

  • @dodge93city Yes, I am pretty sure it is another one of the series of Tours guys like Chuck and other 1950's rockers did in the UK and Europe after being shunned in the US. My guess is someplace like Austria, or Norway. There is also a great series of recordings from Norway from the Stax Volt '67 tour. The audience VERY MUCH LOVED our rockers, but treated them with respect. They felt it was rude to get up and dance. Europeans and Brits pretty much saved rock and roll in the 1960s.

  • Pink Cadillac was the first, 1951.

  • this is great ,but is from mid sixties. watch the clothes hairdos and instruments etc....

  • fuckin sweet moves

  • is this video fixed on 360p?

  • @MROSEN62 That's the fucking French for you.

  • I think the crowd liked him, I think they just knew to shut the fuck up while Chuck Berry is playing.

  • where would we be without chuck berry!

  • @MROSEN62

If you watch the whole set he did here, by the end they are up and clapping along like wild rock fans :).

This music was so new back then, the audience probably took a while to get it and feel the vibe.
