I've never seen the movie before so I thought it was funny at first but then I saw the other comments and now I have torn emotions because the whole reason behind the words isn't funny but it's the way he says the words that makes it funny. It's one of those laugh and cry moments like that scene in Battle Los Anegeles where Lieutenant Martinez states his marine identity before blowing up the bus. Him dying wasn't funny but the way he said his said his last words was.
