My dad was at this game and has told me about it multiple times, thanks for posting it!

Love the announcer's great NE accent too. On he third goal, Gowadie Clahhk ties it up foah to foah. :-)

I try to tell folks nowadays what a wild place Snively was (so much crazier than today's arenas), but words don't do it justice. This clip does. Check out the packed stands going berserk at 0:53 of this clip -- and that's after the FIRST of these three amazing goals (so UNH still down by two). Then after the second at 1:47, they're packed in and pounding on the chainlink fence behind RPI's goalie. And finally, at 3:21 (after the third terrific goal) a wide shot of all of Snively erupting!

@alphuez Yes I stood behind the goalie on west side of Snively and the opposing goalies would sometimes spit at us.

@ClarkHislopCox: I was behind the RPI bench, giving Jerry Beauclair grief. :-)
Aside from the astounding 2 minutes of hockey this line played here during the 3 on 3, what I'd most like fans today to appreciate is how absolutely NUTS Snively was in great moments like this. Nice to have the Whitt, but I miss that -- and maybe even the wooden benches (not seats) for seating, and the chain link fencing behind the nets!

I was there...
The second most amazing moment of sports I have ever witnessed. I was in the right corner bleachers. Bring back 3 on 3 hockey! Of course most amazing moment in sports I saw live was Carlton Fisk's 1975 game 6 HR but that is hard to top.

Wished I'd been at Fenway in 1975 - but I was at this amazing UNH game. I can actually see the 21-year-old edition of myself in the front row after Cliff Cox scores his second goal. Time flies!
