♥Lyrics♥
Come down my child, take me to the core of the flame
The world denied, poisoned by the turn of the game
One early morning I woke and sorrow gave me my name
Come rest my child, take me to the heart of the flame
Calm down my child, tell me 'bout the scent of the rain
Something has died, silent and in absence of pain
One early morning I woke and no one whispered my name
Calm down my child, stagnancy is bliss for the sane

  • If it was not for MauriceWillNotDie, I would have never known about Flowing Tears! Thank You so much for introducing me to this band.

I love Stefanie Duchêne's voice. I have their complete discography now and am listening to each album from the beginning. I just hope to God that Helen Vogt's voice does the band justice.

Does anyone know if Stefanie Duchêne has a new band?

  • Your welcome!

I love both vocalist voice. Helen sounded pretty good in this song. And for Stefanie I love her best in Purple Red Soil. The last I heard she is working on a solo album.

  • Yeah, I have to say that "Purple Red Soil" is one of the greatest Goth Metal songs of all time. It is legendary...

  • It is. Many bands seem to forget what real goth metal is or either try to be mainstream so they can get famous. Flowing Tears doesn't try to be anything but what they are and I think that is what makes them stand out most.

  • I think that is what has happend to Evanescence. I love Amy Lee and all their early work, the EPs, leading up to Fallen were true dark and gothic. The Open Door was when Evanescence went mainstream and went away from their gothic, dark roots and in return, produced an album that I find very poor. It is sad as in my opinion, Fallen is one of the greatest albums ever made.....

  • I've never care for Evanescence. I'm just not a fan of Alternative rock but I can understand where your coming fun. Many bands today just want money and fame and stick us with lousy crap that they call music and pisses me off/ 2007 nand 2008 release the worst albums I have ever heard. Now bands like Arch Enemy, Flowing Tears, Draconian put out some of the best albums everything else dissapointed me.
