In this clip, Buddy Edgerton (along with son Jim and author Nan O'Brien) gives us a tour of the property where his neighbor Norman Rockwell lived for ten years in West Arlington, Vermont. The Edgerton family's farm butted right up next to where Rockwell's studio was situated, and the family would frequently stop in to say hello (or pose for an upcoming "Saturday Evening Post" cover). More information can be found in the upcoming book "The Unknown Rockwell: A Portrait of Two American Families," to be released by Battenkill River Press.
Norman Rockwell Museum will hold a special release party for author Bud Edgerton and Nan O'Brien's new book "The Unknown Rockwell: A Portrait of Two American Families" on Thursday, October 8, from 2 to 5 p.m. "The Unknown Rockwell" is an intimate account of the relationship between the Edgerton and Rockwell families, next-door neighbors in West Arlington, Vermont, for 10 years.
