  • my old bike...good memories...bought it like 2 weeks before my son was born...i need to make a video of my xbones now...video to come soon

  • really not a comfortable seat, looks killer not pratical for long trip, plus it has shocks in rear which are not to comfortable either compared to a softail, the crossbones is a heavier bike and more comfortable even though it isnt the greatest bike for comfort either, the nightster is really nice but DONT listen to the dealer about a "starter " bike,no such thing, get what you really want the first time and it will save you money in the end,get the bigger better bike now, you'll thank me later!!

  • xbones all the way...the nightster is fun in town...SUCKS on trips over an hour....nightster is WAY faster than the xbones...BUT the xbones drives awesome...i dropped it 2 1/2 inches...lower the spring in the seats by an inch, and now gonna get the pipes, breather, and stage 1 download...

  • nah...just one...i actually traded the bike in and bought me an 09 crossbones...

  • Thanks guys on the positive feedback...it is almost time for the 1000 mile tune up

  • hey jeepangler...thanks for the comments man...the pipes ran me about $380...HD charges $30 to tune the bike the first time...no charge after that! The bike is a real head turner and i always get comments on the bike everywhere i go. They all say it looks very old school and think it costs way more than what it does. I love it. I have had many offers on the bike too.

jeffstone72...i'm sure you get the same comments...the bike is gonna feel awesome with the cam and porting work!

  • Well it's smaller, lighter, and narrower. A bigger, and heavier bike is going to have a softer ride, and won't get tossed around as bad in the wind. I love my Nightster, but I also know it wasn't meant to be ridden across the country. I'm not saying it can't be done though. The lack of luggage options could be a minor issue too.

  • Love that heavy breather! I've got the same bike, but a 2010. Now I'm torn between the black and chrome intake. Decisions...decisions? Looks and sounds good man, keep that shiny side up!

  • I don't think nightsters are uncomfortable. I got drag bars on mine without risers. First ride was tough ,I'm use to it now.. True tho get what u want at first !! In a few years I'll get something bigger but for now I love my nightster !!

  • The seat is comfortable and the sportster is a great ride. rode mine to Orlando from Miami and can't complain. You could get a road king, i guess, if you want to be comfortable. I can guess that any Harley would be a great ride for any distance though.

  • Just curious, what's bad about the nightster when driving it for a long period... reason I asked because I'm planning to get a bike for cruising longer trips.

  • Beautiful bike and Fastback :-) Congratulations

  • sick bike
