Static Line Control

Training film detailing safety concerns pertaining to the universal static line for use by airborne personel in the UInited States Army.

It is beleived that this video, although not the most thrilling in youtubes inventory, will assist the viewer in understanding what is going on in the many parachute operation videos showing activities in aircraft prior to and during exits from aircraft by paratroopers.

this is a good Training vid :D Now i know what the hell that thing is. Tho i may never be a Paratrooper. its good to know things. Navy is where i will go. I want to be a Radio man >:U But in WW2 they had that right? but no one grab the line, and they jump out.?

@Deefultz Yeah its a bit dull, but this is serious stuff. Lives depend on it.

They used Static lines as well during WWII however you are correct there was no "safety to take the line. procedures were different then.
