Fourth of five in a mini-series on Magic Dick's great rock-harp instrumental. Gussow's quest to decode MD's withering flurry of warbles runs into insurmountable technical challenges and crippling melodic indeterminacies.

  • I've always assumed it's lip pursed, and that's how I play it, but I know that players like Joe Filisko can easily blow bend TB'd on the upper octave. I don't think it matters. Just get a good sound.

  • hey adam love ur style and what your doin here...hey i've gotta question...i'm looking into buying an amp for my harp & I but theres so many and prices vary so much. what would be a good direction to go in regarding this matter???----rob from upstate NY

  • I should really answer this good question in my FAQ's page. My recommendation is simple: vising harpgear dot com and spend your money on one of Brian Purdy's fantastic amps.

  • why in the car?

  • Best place for blues harp lessons.

  • PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ON THE 10th HOLE BLOW!!!! PLEASE, THAT IS ONE OF THE ONLY PARTS I CAN'T GET, MY HARMONICAS ARE HAVING TROUBLE BENDING IT!!!

  • I was far away from knowing this song.

    It will take some time.

    Thanks!!

  • Adam, quick question, on that nine hole blow part after the warble, and even the nine hole blow and bend in the intro, is that tongue blocked? I could figure it could be, but seems more easier with lips.

  • i love all those "except jimmy lee" references. you're a superhero, sweating out in a car to teach us something that cant really be taught. thank you

  • I learnt to play like I do by imitating Walter Horton's (was his birthday 2 days ago) walking boogie thing and 'That ain't It'. And now I can't play well un-tongue blocked, it's great. This is similar to lots of big walter. GREAT
