Sorry for the poor video quality on this one but this was a test for my new wing cam setup. All in all it worked out pretty well. The whole thing was filmed using a $25 digital camera so the next step will be to re-try with a better quality camera. Another first for this flight was finding at least one viable launch from the San Gabriels behind my house.
I managed to cruise this ridge for about 30 minutes before touching down in a very small park. I was flying in front of high transmission lines the whole time which was somewhat un-nerving but I think on a good day it would be easy to top out over them and fly further back into the hills. Even on this mediocre, mostly cloudy day, I managed to get about 100m above launch for awhile.
