For the past two years, Dubai Church and partners were able to give away more than 1,200 shoeboxes filled with toiletries to our less fortunate brethren housed in different labor camps. We pray that this year more of our less fortunate brethren will be able to feel our kindness. We pray for more partners this year so we can reach more people. .....let them see Jesus through this small deed.

Does that passage mean we have to literally uproot our families, and go to the ends of the earth to spread the gospel? What if we are living in a place that physically restricts us from following the great commission? What if the law of the land restricts us from doing it? What if there is a language barrier?
What if ....? So many what ifs .... But, when we think about it, it boils down to what? In reality, it all boils down to one thing and one thing only, and that is the condition of our hearts. Is the desire to follow the great commission living in our hearts or leaving our hearts?

As Christians, our compassion for the lost will always be embedded in our hearts. More often than not, it will feel like as if it's not there anymore. That's an understandable feeling. But the truth is when we accepted Him as our Lord and Savior that desire was put in our hearts as well. Sometimes, it will just need a little jolting.....but it is always there.

The desire to tell ALL non-believers about Jesus will always be crying out to be fulfilled, and that is a given. Unfortunately, not all of us can be sent to the mission fields, i.e. Afghanistan, Iraq, China, and other far flung places.

The Lord put us in this place for a reason. Dubai is our mission field.

Yes, it's a fact that the law of the land restricts us from fully complying the great commission. Yes, there is a prevalent language barrier here, especially if the desire of your heart is to minister to non-English speaking brothers and sisters, who have not even finished grade school. Yes, it would seem that circumstances are conspiring to prevent us from following the great commission.

But, take heart my brethren ! Rejoice! The Lord didn't limit our ways. We are all familiar with the saying action speaks louder than words, right? People will know Him even if we don't say a word about Him. Yes, we can't have a one on one with our non-believing brethren, as the law of the land prohibits it. Yes, it will be hard for us to explain about Jesus to our non-English speaking brothers, as they will not be able to understand it. But who will not be able to understand kindness?

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Mathew 28:19)

God Bless!
