Pride of Bilbao Storm (2)

Some more footage of the Pride of Bilbao sailing through the Bay of Biscay where in which the wind reached Force 12 with 11m seas overnight - however the ship coped very well given the circumstances.

i remember being on this ship doing a tabacco run ,in the cabin for the duration it WAS bad lol!!!!

I would start to worry about the integrety of the bow door in those conditions, did not her sister Mariella's bow door fracture in a storm in the 1980's?

great vid,love that she punches trough the hard weather,never duoubted her sister,mariella,in any baltic storm.fantastic ship,im excited to have olympia back,its like a dream come true,both sisters sailing in the baltic.cute reunion!I wonder,she ahd the bowvisor welded and is not in use anymore?would assume there could be some troubles with it in there waves!!mariella had some probs in early yrs i think..great video.love it,love the ship and love the rollings of a big ferry in a storm.amazing!

i was on this ship back in early 90's in force 12, and she hit the side of the harbour so we had to go back out to sea and anchor up for 15 hours until the storm died down. scary shit.

I was on this ship in Force 12, i was seasick thinking the boat would sink or tip over, people were screaming alot and it was a great experiance during this storm!

totally agree that you cant beat pride of bilbao-might have a few bits of rust on outside but id rather be on this ship than any other in any sea conditions.

she a real ard ship!!! down to earth, good food choice(no frogs legs lol) plenty to do, luv it!!!! brittany ok suppose, just to fast,prefer the 35hour mini cruise any time....an like i said, no frogs legs!!!!
