In this video, I decide to show people how to play some fast rolls around the kit. People have been asking me how I do those fast rolls all over the kit. Well, it's actually very simple! Watch and find out! Utilizes the Paradiddle-diddle. RLRRLL or LRLLRR sticking pattern. This video was done because people kept asking me about how to play fast rolls like that....I hope you get something from this video!

He did =O triplet, quadruplet, quintuplet, sextuplet, septuplet, octuplet. seems funny but yeah it's sex not six =P
If you mean because the way he applies it is as straight16ths/32nds, yeah he made a mistake but it could be applied either way and he was emphasizing that it was a group of six xDD

@Pductions
You should allow the rebound to help the stick back up, but you ARE doing 2 strokes. It's not a bounce motion. It's helpful to practise on a pillow to get used to keeping full, controlled strokes. Then when you move to a drum, it will feel fairly easy! This is a physical aspect and to improve it all you can do is practise practise practise, with good technique. At higher speeds the rebound will become a little bit more of a factor, but your rudiments should always be controlled.

Thanks Rob, This video is really making me feel like doing some solid work, instead of just playing with others. Otherwise there is no point, it's nearly impossible to learn new things (technique-wise) while jamming with a band.
We'll see how long it'll take me to get reasonably smooth at this "simple" paradiddle excercise. I'm giving myself 6 months... ;)
