Halo Wars Covenant Bum Rush

This is a simple bum rush tactic using the Prophet of Regret. This is for Covenant Vs Humans, Heroic difficulty.
The first building you make should be the Temple, next send your Ghost down to the enemy base to either attack their warthog, or gather their resources before they have a chance. Even though I didn't do it, it is very important to kill the warthog, so he doesn't feed the enemy resource crates. You have the advantage here as your Ghost can attack, while the human Warthog has to be upgraded. As soon as your Temple is finished, you will be able to make the Honor Guard. Set the rally point right next to the teleporter and you will receive instantaneous reinforcements. You should have the Honor Guard attack the resource buildings while the Prophet and the lone Ghost attack any infantry that appear. Now steadily continue to make resource buildings while pumping out Honor Guards. If the Prophet starts to get overrun, use his special ability to quickly take out enemy infantry. I had to spend some extra time at the end for some reason, I suppose because of their stupid warthog.

This can easily be shaven down to a lower time, this footage is unedited ( Phone rang in the middle, that's the pause ). This is just to show you a basic outline for Covenant Rush. Ever since I came up with this tactic it hasn't failed, the computer has done different things, including building turrets to stop me. Note to Human players, the Prophet of Regret will eat your turrets up, they barely scratch him.

Note that this video was released the day of the demo, so I'm sure superior strats will be discovered with time

i think this is a bad rush. yea, it worked, but i just think theres an easier quicker way. instead of the expensive, slow building honor guards, you should just make barracks and pump out grunts. alot faster and cheaper

The reason UNSC win alot is because of Scorpions, simple as that.

Some major tactics the covenant sed in the story were not in Halo Wars.

And the only reason unsc wi alot is because of gauss hog/sparrowhawk spam.

Anders > Cutter > Forge > Arby > Prophet > Brute. Notice how all the UNSC leaders are at the top end.

Lock base. Spam flamethrowers. Unlock base, own Prophet + EHGs. Send flamers over to opponent base, keep pressure on them. Get hogs or, if you feel like taking the piss, a Spartank. Either way, you steamroll the Prophet base.

Bad rush honestly a counter to this would be a second base and some turret hogs. Not to count leader powers and turrets.
