I happened upon this unusual 6" vinyl on the Flea Market yesterday. Intrigued, I asked the stall owner for more information. Unfortunately, he knew nothing of the origins and hadn't heard it. I bought it anyway for a mere 50p.
Obviously Russian and almost certainly recorded and distributed at a time when popular "western music" would have been banned, I was very interested by what might be on the disk. I was not disappointed.
The hallmarks of any Soviet piece, this music sounds very of it's time. Sang very confidentially by a chorus of children. Sounds quite inspiring. If I knew what they were singing about I'd know for sure.
It would be very helpful if anyone could provide any information. Year, song titles... Do you even recognise the song? Anything is welcome.

The second song is called "Friendship". Both songs are pioneer songs.

The 1st song sounds like the Russian Children's Choir singing "May There Always Be Sunshine."
