I love this song! I remembered it from the 80's but could not remember the name of the song and only part of the group's name. I googled and found it. I am so glad. This is such a meaningful song and such truth in the words.

I've been a country/western fan my whole life, (79 yrs). This is one of the most meaningful, tuching, and beautiful songs I have ever heard. I've heard songs about, This Old House, but this is the first time,This Old House responded in harmony. John Henry

Fr a brief period the ORIGINAL version of this gorgeous song was available on one of the writer's website for FREE. HE was a religious man, and didn't mind giving it away for free.

Now, that's disappeared, and the "new" version just plain SUCKS. It's old-sounding, raspy-voiced, and with a lame, empty, bare-bones arrangement. No doubt just a "cash grab" instead of hashing out some reasonable arrangement for the ORIGINAL VERSION's equitable disbursement of profits.

A CRUSHING disappointment.

It is a fantastic CD! I love all the songs on it. I prefer Craigs voice tho. There is also a youtube of Craig performing this song at the Phila. Folk Festival in '08
