STORY : Everything starts in episode 2x11 when Elijah goes to make a deal with Elena.She asks him to free Stefan from the tomb but he refuses.He asks Elena if they have a deal but she says no.Elijah knocks her out and kidnaps her.
She wakes up in his unlocked car and tries to escape but he drugs her.She wakes up later in a hotel room, finds a phone and tries to call Damon but Elijah catches her, compels her and bites her.They later leave the hotel and continue their journey.
Elijah takes Elena to his house, where they have to share a bed.Elena has nightmares, with Elijah being forced by Klaus to sacrifice her, but Elijah comforts her.One night, after a nightmare, Elijah kisses Elena.The next day, Elena escapes and tries to drive back to Mystic Falls but during the night she hits somebody.It turns out to be Elijah, who takes her back to his house.There, as a punishment, he bites and feeds on her until he decides she had enough.They kiss again and he leaves her alone.On the meantime, Stefan who is stuck in the tomb, cheats on Elena with Katherine.Elena finds out, asks Elijah for a distraction and they sleep together.
In the morning, after Elijah gets informed that Klaus is back,him and Elena return to Mystic Falls.There Elijah leaves Elena alone for a while and Damon shows up.He has a fight with Elena about her relationship with Elijah because he doesn't trust him and believes he has compelled Elena.After Elena orders Damon out of her house, the doorbell rings and Klaus shows up on her doorstep.Elena recognises him and shuts the door.
Later, Caroline, Bonnie, Tyler and Damon agree to help Elijah stop Klaus by him pretending to be working for Klaus.
Elena has a nightmare, this time featuring her and Klaus romantically.The morning after, Elijah confesses his love to Elena.
Elena spends the next two days with Caroline, Bonnie and Elijah, and Klaus is stalking them.On the second's day night, Elena attends the Lockwood's ball, escorted by Elijah.There, Klaus shows up and takes Elena to dance.Elijah watches them as they dance and later, angry, he bites Elena and knocks her out for her own safety, because he is putting his plan to fight Klaus in action.
Elena wakes up in the woods where Elijah prentends that he doesn't care for her and that he is working for Klaus.Klaus asks Elijah to sacrifice her but Damon, Jeremy, Alaric, Bonnie, Stefan and Katherine appear.Elena stabs herself and Klaus is weakened so Elijah manages to kill him.He feeds Elena his blood but she is seriously injured and faints.
She wakes up with Elijah next to her, looking after her.Later, Elena goes to find Stefan and argues with him for cheating on her and pretending everything is fine.
Elijah proposes to Elena and she accepts, and asks Damon to give her away at the church.Damon gladly accepts.
The story ends with Elijah and Elena getting married and driving off for their honeymoon.
