  • hellmuth owned himself there, that said pretty terrible 3bet by the dutch when a tight player opens with 20 bbs

  • @fraggeri71 thought smth like that at first too, but, well, against a range that includes 33 (and will call) a 3bet with KQ is actually quite QK

  • a very different Phil Hellmuth as compared to the past

  • @TheJRL89 yet still quite fishy

  • I think Phil knew he is behind.. he shoved anyways because he probably understood that its almost impossible to go too far with that kind of stack and making it to the money doesn't matter to him as much as most of the others

  • hm, hes been practicing online.

  • The dutch played standard but he got inside hellmuths head and showed how easy it is to pawn him lol

  • @TomMolivan he can't know that, and last time I checked KQ isn't ahead of 33. What I'm saying is Phil's read about him being a bit reckless preflop is spot on, the problem is the math can't justify such creativity under 20 bbs for Phil to peel a flop. If he's doing that with KQ he could be doing that with A-T and phil would get him to fold and would look like a genius. Not defending Phil's play bc it's horrible, but that de knijff didn't play that well too. He should have folded pre

  • calling was the worst thing he could have done pre-flop. either shove or fold.

  • "I knew you didnt have what you were supposed to have when you reraised me" Phil is refering to AK, thats the huge problem with Phil he still plays textbook poker, and considering people are morons now when they play(They call/raise huge preflop bets with any suited hand or connectors) his reads are way off. Also its very easy to think about the right poker play when you are watching the holecards and your money isnt on the table ;)

  • This is horrible by phil...

  • You guys saying "he has no outs" actually are morons. Yes, it was an absurd move by Hellmuth to go all in, but those of you discussing outs are grossly misunderstanding how to use them. Hellmuth isn't likely considering outs here (I have a hard time explaining his play TBH), but he surely thinks he has a made hand. At any rate, if you are calling the other 3s outs, he can't ever know that there are no 3s left in the deck.
