cont'd, I've come across some very BEAUTIFUL people--mostly older ladies, that literally GLOW! I'd always think to myself that I wanted to be like those ladies when I grow up. HOWEVER, I must say......if you come across a man in all his GODLY glory, it's VERY overwhelming--VERY refreshing--and VERY uplifting. Too bad all our brothers don't walk around like this :-( All this fake "SWAG"--fake "SHINE".....it's distorted and a perversion....just the way Satan likes it.

Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed (Ecclesiastes 8:1). This is why the face gets all the attention. That's why Satan likes to draw people's eyes away from a person's true FACE, i.e. makeup overkill, showing too much skin, over-emphasizing excercise. The beauty in this verse is what's being kept from us, BUT if you do happen to come across it, you can't miss it :-)

@TheFashionableChic I think that so much of what we have been taught about beauty was off. Most of us have learned to look at beauty from the outside-in, instead of the inside-out. Because of this we sometimes become attacted to people we are incompatible with. I still feel like I'm learning what real beauty is. What does beauty mean to you?

I like being an ugly chick. I mean, it's not so bad. Men take me seriously when I speak, they aren't trying to see me as a piece of meat. I have small boobs, thin frame with few curves, poofy afro hair and to top it all off I am very tall, so that crosses me off most men's lists. I am married and my husband thinks I look good, but you know how it is, we are women. Of course we want to be attractive to others as well. Maybe in another life for me...lol! I just look at the bright side.

Guy's self-esteem issues are not about looks. Women's mostly are. Therefore women can only comprehend the looks issue when really for a guy it's your very most deep inner being on how you view yourself that is the problem, women cannot understand this.

@TheFashionableChic I know! We all have to TRULY be born again.....because we're born into a SICK, TWISTED WORLD OF LIES! When I think of how difficult it has become to do the right thing, my heart just breaks. Most of us women will never know true leadership from a male figure, whether it be father, son OR preacher/teacher. But YAH did give us a few, because he created us, loves us, and knows that as humans, seeing is believing. I'm just trying to keep the faith....waiting on my Boaz.
