@gxlxs Probably! I appreciate the expertise and know-how that goes into these mods. I just personally prefer 100% stock gear and I can usually make the 303 sound very different by processing the audio once it is tracked.
-
@d3mrp0 if you think he should patch a 303 into a computer you're really missing something here.
-
instead of drilling all those holes and messing with the electronics, you could just patch that into logic pro and make the same sounds with the massive array of plug ins that come with logic. i don't get the whole modify thing. i can see adding midi but what you have sounds worse than a stock 303 imo.

monstro mod

That Filter FM is blowing my mind right now

LOL, is a ghost moving one of the modded knobs (top right corner) at 2.46? :-D

Good melodies! Best I've heard on YouTube yet! To be honest, the random 16-step patterns I hear the most on here are a bit crappy compared to this! This one has got melody!
and is the 808 sound processed in some way by the 303 in the few last minutes? other than that, absolutely cool mods.

@polkusin:
you can control it externally via a midi to cv converter, i use a kenton pro solo mkii. and the 808 is not being processed thru the 303, although it is possible to inject external sounds into the chain at various points.

of course, u jut have to normalize it

Have you modified your 808 too? The snare sounds like it has more noise in it and a longer tail than a normal one...or is that just eq, dist, reverb of some kind?

good ears, yeah at times there's something on it. plus my 808 has some noisy bits that pop up every so often - mostly the clap and cymbal parts. but i every 808 has it's own character, that's the beauty of the beast.
