  • @NCThruxton hey where i can find the exhaust for this motorcycle?, i have a 1979 ,

  • i am rebuilding a 750 sf thay are sweet biks

  • I'll be OK, I'm into vintage Buicks too, mostly the performance ones even though I do have a 1973 Electra 225 coupe as my driver, I'll keep my 2005 Thruxton as it seems to not hurt me...go figure clipons and rear sets and it doesn't hurt my back but a standard does.......

  • My back isn't too hot, either. But if you stick to standard or cruiser positions, you'll probably be fine. Or you could trike one and get a full seat. Trikes are always head-turners, especially if you make some kind of wild, high-powered custom. But don't let your back keep you in a cage!

  • it's a good riding bike, I had mine for about 7 years. I've got all British iron now but might be letting a couple of them go too, just get back down to one bike...I have to really think it over but my bad back might force me to quit riding

  • I just started work on a '78 750 E, myself. It's going to be a lengthy project, but at least all the numbers match and there's a strong community around these bikes. Seeing vids like this can lend motivation, y'know? And hey, if you ever want another XS, you can probably find one through one of the communities online. There's usually somebody willing to part with one.

  • about 2 years of on and off tinkering, I was riding it the whole time too, it was my daily rider for a few years, I did sell it about a year and a half ago...she was a great bike and I did love riding her

  • That's a sharp looking bike, and despite being a little chilly, it sounds like it runs well. How long did it take you to get it in that shape?
