I am not personally familiar with the Gulfstream, but a short search of their website Paypoad abilities, seems to say that 4 tonns is not possible in standard configuration with fuel. 4 tonn payload is a real lot in aviation

Gulfstream II: Payload with Full Fuel 2,831 lbs max (very optimistic)

Do you have the ATSB/FAA report details for the crash, idealy a direct link
