I personnally really prefer Tarja, but it's real Simone has a beautiful voice too... They are both excellents metal singer !

If you don't like Tarja, please hear the song "Over the hills and far away..."... It will convert you to Tarja ! =D

@fluoroscopie I have all of the albums by Nightwish so I know how she sounds like.

I'm just saying I prefer Simone a little more.

If you own all NW albums it means you are far from knowing how she really sounds like.

For generic voices the studio and post processing helps but for great voices it's detrimental.

I recomend "From wishes to enernity" and "End of an era" dvd's, they are live and the quality of recording is superiour.

Or better attend a live concert, the difference is huge.

I just voiced my opinion on the way they both sound.

I'm just more of a Simone fan.

And the odds of me attending a NW concert with Tarja back at the helm are slim to none, seeing as Tarja is no longer in NW.

I went to several of her solo concerts this year and she's greater than ever. Even better than good old times.

She has extremely varied voice and ways of interpreting even during same song.

Ironycaly some classical fanatics complain her voice is too passionate and colorful, some metal hardcores complain her voice is too pure and clean.

It's all about preconceptions at one point but they have nothing to do with art.
