@1950sbinman1 It was Brian's band. He formed them, named them, promoted them and was their spokesperson. That was clear for anyone who met them in those days. The only ones who say it wasn't his band are the glimmers. But I do agree with you that Charlie is the heart of the band. Keith became the soul in the 70's.

@Eltamir - I thought that SAME THING, especially after hearing Jimmy Page!?!? Although Jimmy Page is GREAT, Brian Jones was doing it much earlier! If Brian Jones would have lived, and, played with John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix, as he planned, WHO KNOWS what kind of "Beautiful" and GREAT music would have been made!?!? SO, sorry that ALL of these geniuses had to go! It seems as if all the "GREATS" who would and should have enriched the world, died much too early!!
